The first Blue Spark Award went to the BHS news team for Newscast Compilation after competition got underway on Saturday, April 9. The news team is made up of Caitlin Alexander, Andrew Fischer, Ben Sherrill, Emma Richards, Rosie Gunger, Abbi Williams, Reed Smith and Caleb Howard.

It included the story of a Brentwood family who traveled to Paris two weeks after the Paris attacks, and Donald Trump’s visit to The Factory in Franklin.  Here is a link to the winning newscast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9CSn7XCxfs
