BrightStone’s 9th Annual Bowlability Event Surpasses $500,000 Milestone

Franklin, TN — Advertised as “The Most Fun You’ll Have Fundraising Ever (for a Great Cause),” BrightStone’s Bowlability event lives up to its reputation as numbers for funds raised and participation continue to grow.

BrightStone’s annual Bowlability has raised more than $530,000 over its nine years. This key event funds core programs and vital services for adults with special needs in our community. Over 400 community members came together this year to make this milestone a possibility.

“Bowling with the students during Bowlability is a blast,” says local business owner Christi Lassen of Olivia Olive Oil. “You better watch out, these guys can bowl!”

Lassen provided the top bowler prizes and had served on the planning committee in the past. Kellum Ferree, Director of Operations at Aldi, currently chairs the committee and continues to grow its impact. Ferree combines work, volunteering, and family with her passion for BrightStone to support Bowlability.

Each year, Ferree’s coworkers form teams and fundraise with her helping her be one of the top fundraisers. But this event goes deeper for Ferree.

“BrightStone has provided my sister, Catherine, with endless love and support from day one,” says Ferree. “Words will never be able to express the gratitude we have for BrightStone. It’s been such a blessing to my family!”
