Brookdale Senior Living Hosts Inaugural Celebrate Aging Film Festival
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 3, 2017 – For the last few months, residents at senior living communities across the country wrote, filmed, directed and edited their own 5 minute movie, using only an iPad, for the inaugural Brookdale Celebrate Aging Film Festival.
Approximately 74 films were narrowed down to nine in the Best Picture, Best Writing, Best Acting, Best Technical Design categories. The nine were all eligible for the Ecolab’s People Choice Award, voted on by the public. The nine finalists were all eligible for the Ecolab’s People Choice Award, voted on by the public. Click here to vote; voting ends October 2nd. In addition to those awards, one film will receive the Courage Award. This category will highlight the film that tells the story of courageous older adults who are living life to the fullest in the face of aging challenges.
The Brookdale Celebrate Aging Film Festival will be held at the Franklin Theatre, in Franklin, Tennessee, on October 4, 2017. The red carpet event will start at 1:30 p.m.
