Captain Tom

The Actors Reading Room is pleased to announce the launching of our musical theatre division, The Singers Theatre of Nashville, with a showcase of CAPTAIN TOM, a new musical based in Nashville history by Nashville playwright John Eklond and collaborators.

CAPTAIN TOM is the poster child project for a brand of new American musicals coming out of the fusion of Nashville’s songwriting and theatre communities. Based on the life, legend and legacy of Captain Tom Ryman, the man who built what became the “mother church of country music” – the Ryman Auditorium.  CAPTAIN TOM is a new work of musical theatre specifically written for the Nashville market.

Make reservations for next Sunday, March 16, 2014, at 2:00 pm at the Williamson Country Public Library.  The event is free but reservations are requested and may be made at dramaturgtn@gmail.com,  Come to Franklin and Go to the Theatre!
