Sunday, June 21 men and women ended their two night stint on the battlefield of Franklin.  During the weekend, guests enjoyed watching what camp was like for the Civil War soldiers and families.  On Sunday afternoon, the men demonstrated what a skirmish looked like complete with the firing of cannon balls.

Friday, November 7 from 7-10pm the historic streets of downtown Franklin were filled with wine tasters.  More than 200 wines from around the world poured in 37 locations and more than 25 restaurants provided food at this year’s Wine Down Main Street.  Click here to see more pictures!

The 9th Annual Closer to Home Christmas show was on November 8 and 9,  at Green’s Grocery in Leipers Fork.   Performing were Two Grammy winning guitarists, Larry Carlton and Keb ‘Mo’!

This morning Main Street was lined with people, young and old, to watch the Veteran’s Day parade in Franklin. The parade was an enjoyable salute to all veterans including JROTCs and marching bands from area schools, local veterans, government officials, collectible cars and even a band from Williamson County’s “Sister County”, County Laois, Ireland.

Historic Downtown Franklin’s 23rd annual Pumpkinfest was Saturday, Oct. 25.  The event filled Main Street from Second to Fifth Avenues with all things fall-related–pumpkins, Halloween costumes, activities for children, two stages, a chili cook-off, hayrides and fall arts/crafts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On Friday, October 24, 2008 Cool Springs Wines & Spirits presented the 3rd Annual Franklin Wine Festival in the Factory at Franklin.  Proceeds from this event will allow Big Brothers Big Sisters to reach more than 1,800 children in Middle Tennessee.  Check out the FranklinIs party pics, below!
