Celebration of Nations

Celebration of Nations

Event update:  The event has been moved to the Factory at Franklin due to the rain this week.

September 19, 2009, you don’t have to travel far from home to experience the cultures from around the world.  From ethnic foods to hand-crafted goods, with spirited music and dancing, the Celebration of Nations Event—presented in partnership by O’More College of Design and Sister Cities of Franklin and Williamson County.

The mission of the festival is to create global and cultural passion, starting with a personal knowledge and understanding of the interconnectedness of people universally.

This is the second annual event, and last year over 20 booths were set up representing countries such as India, Japan, and Morocco.

The festivities also included live performances by Cherokee dancers and salsa demonstrations accompanied by a Puerto Rico guitarist.  This year, the festivities are sure to be equally as rich in culture and vendors as last year.

tThere is no cover admission charge for the event, though the vendors have individual charges for food, drinks, and goods.  The Celebration of Nations is to be held on the campus of O’More College of Design, though in case of rain the location will be moved to the Factory at Franklin.  Come experience the cultures of the world from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.
