Classes Offer Fun at the Fairview Recreation Complex

New class in basket making, plus plus pottery and Tai Chi

Basket Making

Join instructor Ann Schlemm for a fun, interactive and informational class and learn how to construct and weave baskets. Basket Making will be on ongoing adult class that meets on Wednesdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. starting April 4 at the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd. Each class is $10, and participants should pre-register for specific dates at www.wcparksandrec.com. For ages 13-adults.

 

Teen/Adult Pottery

Join the fun in an ongoing pottery class at the Fairview Recreation Complex every Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Instructor June Lusty teaches hand built and thrown techniques. No experience necessary. There is a one-time $25 supply fee. Each class is $12. For ages 15 through adults. Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a gentle exercise that is fun and suitable for all ages and capabilities. Using fluid movements, Tai Chi promotes blood flow, increases flexibility and reduces joint pain. Tai Chi is offered on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd. Classes are two for $18. To register, go to www.wcparksandrec.com.
