June outdoor day camp at Timberland Park – Franklin

Would your child like to form a closer connection with the natural world and learn more about the Middle Tennessee area?  Williamson County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce an outdoor day camp for kids ages 7 to 12 at Timberland Park, a 72-acre rustic wooded preserve located at mile marker 437.2 on the historic Natchez Trace Parkway, south of the Highway 96 entrance.

The park will offer day camp June 11-15 ($45 per child).  Camp meets from 9:00 a.m. to noon each day.  Participants will take hikes, learn how to observe nature, play games, make nature crafts and learn the history of the park area.  Timberland Day Camp is a great way for kids to become more comfortable in the outdoors and gain confidence. To register, go to www.wcparksandrec.com (activity #11464).
