Rock the House Music Jam
Davis House Child Advocacy Center (DHCAC) is pleased to announce their music event, Rock The House Music Jam presented by Jackson National Life Insurance Company, is set for Wednesday, May 1 at The Franklin Theatre starting at 7:30 pm. This year’s event features songwriters Lee Thomas Miller, Wynn Varble, The Warren Brothers, Chris Janson, and Dean Dillon. Attendees have two seating options to choose from: Balcony Seating ($75 per seat) is available and includes food and beverages during a pre-show meet and greet with the writers beginning at 6:30. Classic Seating is available for $30 with concessions available for purchase. Balcony Seating Tickets are available for purchase directly through Davis House (615-790-5900 x 101 or marcus@davishousecac.org) while Classic Seating tickets are available through The Franklin Theatre website at www.franklintheatre.com or box office. Increasing awareness of the issue of child sexual and/severe physical abuse and generating funds for the programs and services of Davis House is what the night is all about. “The children we help are from right here in our own community, they live in our neighborhoods, on our streets, and too often in our own homes” says Executive Director Marcus Stamps. “A great night of music and fun, all in support of our Center and the children we serve, invigorates the fight against child abuse.”
Davis House Child Advocacy Center serves children who have experienced sexual and/or severe physical abuse and is committed to providing a safe environment where a child’s voice is heard and respected. Providing both investigative and healing programs, the Center works to empower non-offending parents to protect their children and participates in the state mandated Child Protective Investigation Team as it investigates reported cases of child abuse. National statistics indicate that one in four girls and one in six boys will be victims of sexual abuse by the age of 18. Money raised at this year’s event will continue to fund services provided by DHCAC where last year 420 new child clients were assisted and 1,985 services were provided to these victims and their non-offending family members at no cost to the children or families.
Davis House Child Advocacy Center combats child abuse by coordinating services to children and their families in crisis and providing community education focused on prevention and early intervention.
