Fall Fashion 2008

Driving the other night, I caught a faint scent of the end of summer, the of the end swimwear, flip flops and sundresses and the beginning of a new wardrobe season. Autumn is right around the corner. I can just feel it!
I can’t wait to try out that deep mustard color on a top paired with a deep denim wash. Check out the latest Southern Exposure Magazine, and you will see what I am talking about. French Connection just launched a great fall look complete with blacks, deep mustard tones, pops of green hues, classic crèmes and of course some fun patterned looks.
If the thought of mustard hues makes you uneasy, Prada will come to your rescue. In addition to the mustard hue, they offer a full pallet of colors. This past February in Milan, they launched their fall 2008 collection. It was complete with blacks, deep champagne bronzes, navies and touches of light blues with occasional pops of deep orange corals.
What sets Prada apart from other high end designers for this fall was their particular attention to couture laces and sheer tailored crochet-like looks. They hit a wide spectrum of looks from high collars, long sleeved pencil dresses with an occasional ruffle to sheer black long, lace skirts and matching jackets.
Before you pull out those high waisted skinny jeans, chic boots, ruffle tie shirts, and cute clutches, look up the big names. That’s right… do a little research. Many of them have online runway shows of their latest looks. Gather some inspiration from what they are creating and dare to be bold! Wear a skirt made of lace, spice up your wardrobe with mustard. This fall is all about taking chances so go out there and live it up!
