Franklin Mercantile

Just of the corner of Fourth Avenue North and Main Street sits one of downtown Franklin’s most treasured restaurants. A local staple and tourist favorite, the Franklin Mercantile Deli has been owned and operated by Graeme and Corrie Asch for the past 10 years.

Touting a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and a tasty menu filled with specialty sandwiches, salad bar, fruit tea, sweet tea and coffee, the “Merc” has earned a reputation for being a “go-to” destination for anyone with a hungry appetite.

Step inside and you’ll see familiar furnishings, like wingback chairs, well-loved love seat and homestyle wooden tables. The walls are adorned with paintings and photographs from local artists and professionals. Contemporary music fills the background, and the young, energetic staff is known for its attentiveness and positive attitude.

Teens, young adults, middle-aged and senior citizens alike frequent this local treasure. Credit cards are accepted; as are take-out orders and private parties.
