On Saturday, June 4, the streets of historic, downtown Franklin were packed as the community celebrated the Grand Opening of the Franklin Theatre.
Guests strolled down the red carpet and enjoyed a showing of Gone with the Wind. The Franklin Theatre first opened its doors in the summer of 1937. In 2007, the Franklin Theatre closed its doors.
The Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County and Next Gen launched an effort of the next three years to buy, rehabilitate, preserve and reopen the historic landmark. Below are party pics from the special opening night.
