FRANKTOWN MARKS MILESTONE – GIVES AWAY 23RD VEHICLE TO MOTHER IN NEED
Franklin, TN, August 9, 2018 – Franktown Open Hearts is excited to give away its 23rd vehicle to a single mother in need.
Franktown Automotive is in its second year and empowers students by giving them hands on learning for basic car repair and maintenance. Franktown Automotive’s latest recipient is a single mom of two Franktown students and works the night shift at Red Lobster. She currently relies on rides from family members, coworkers, and friends to get to and from work.
Franktown Open Hearts hosts programming 6 days a week, during which inner city youth are fed, learn new skills, and empowered to break the cycle of generational poverty. Franktown Automotive – a program of Franktown Open Hearts, will give away their 25th vehicle by the end of September. “It’s so exciting every time we see this come full circle. From the donor who gave the vehicle, to the repairs that went into it, and, finally giving it away to a deserving mother in the community. The giveaway will take place at Franktown’s office in Franklin, 412 Cummins St. Franklin, TN 37064 on Thursday, August 9, 2018. The giveaway will begin at 12 p.m. and will conclude at 12:30 p.m., this includes a photo opportunity.
