FSSD incumbent candidates host petition party at Culver’s

Franklin Special School District board candidates Alicia Barker, Kevin Townsel and Robert Blair invited members of the Franklin community to Culver’s in Cool Springs to sign their petitions to enter the race.

All three are be incumbents running for re-election. Townsel said he was running again to continue progress in the schools.

“It’s something I’ve been involved in for years,” Townsel said. “Now it’s time to move the needle forward. There’s more of an impact than I thought it would and I want to keep it going. I don’t want to stop.”

He went on to say the current six members of the school board get along well, a facet Townsel wants to continue in the foreseeable future.

“We work well, and I want to keep the team together,” Townsel said.
