The Gateway Chamber Orchestra: A Night to Remember

The Gateway Chamber Orchestra: A Night to Remember

Dear Friend,
We had a wonderful Gateway Chamber Orchestra concert last week at the historic Franklin Theatre featuring Franz Schreker’s Chamber Symphony, Ottorino Respighi’s Trittico Botticelliano and Aaron Copland’s Three Latin American Sketches. This was the 2nd show of the 2017-2018 Masterworks Series.
If you were able to attend, we thank you for the support, please spread the word, tell your friends and families and we would love to hear from you with your thoughts about the show. If you were unable to attend, don’t fret we have two more amazing shows in our 2017-2018 season. We hope to see you at one of the shows listed below.
In addition, discount group ticket sales are also available. This is a great way to expose young people to a chamber orchestra in an intimate setting.
We wish you a happy holiday season.
Best regard,
Pam Lewis and the Gateway Chamber Orchestra

Having the Gateway Chamber Orchestra gives Franklin another accolade in why this town constantly ranks as one of the best towns in the United States.  What other town offers its citizens a chamber orchestra in a 1930s theater?  Gregory Wolynec masterfully conducts a nuanced, eclectic works with world-class musicians.  It is always a pleasure.

What a gift to be able to see such talent in an intimate setting….Personally, I found [the Gateway Chamber Orchestra] to be highly professional and the program to be well done and inspiring. The conductor gave extremely good notes, both in the program and from the stage, and as a music teacher I am already making plans to bring students to the next performance. What a resource for the music community, right here in our theater!

I thought the Gateway Chamber Orchestra was quite professional with interesting and good interpretation of a fine selection of music.  It is special to have a performance of that quality at the theater here in Franklin.  I attend the Nashville Symphony concerts and enjoy them very much.  However, it is wonderful to have an orchestra concert here in town. I hope they will continue to use our theater as their home base in this area.

It was worth the 30-hour drive from New Mexico to hear a world class concert by Gateway Chamber Orchestra. A night to remember.

I was pleased to read that the Gateway Chamber Orchestra was coming to the Franklin Theatre. As a sound technician and being familiar with the venues’ amazing acoustics, I was pleased to secure a seat.  After attending numerous shows at the theater, I can honestly say this was by far my favorite performance. I was literally blown away by the professional musicianship and program selection of this incredible Orchestra and cannot wait for their next concert. Bravo PLA Media for bringing this caliber of entertainment to the Franklin area.

The Franklin Theater is a great venue for quality music, we especially appreciated the festive and light middle part, with Boccherini’s work, The Magi. I actually sang along where in Italian it is, “Tu scendi dalle stelle…..”.We are grateful to [be invited to] this special evening and to the City of Franklin for its ongoing effort to keep and communicate its proud history.
