Williamson County Parks & Rec makes it easy!

It’s never too late to start a fitness program! Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) wants to make it easy by offering a wide variety of group fitness classes at six locations: the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd.; the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr.; the Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood; the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd.; the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave.; and the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. 

With hundreds of weekly classes, plus personal trainers and health coaches on staff, WCPR makes it easy for you reach your goals with classes like Yoga, Zumba, indoor cycling, Pilates, and U-JAM. Group fitness classes are included in premium general admission ($8 adults, 18-54 yrs., $4 seniors and youth), premium monthly passes and premium annual passes.

 

Yoga in Fairview

The Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd. offers seven yoga classes weekly, including several styles. Gentle Yoga is offered on Monday mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. This class is designed for a wide variety of practitioners, and most poses are floor based, reclining or seated.  Gentle Yoga employs a slow, steady approach that can benefit all.  Gentle Yoga is also offered on Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. Other yoga classes at Fairview: Restorative Yoga on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:15 a.m., and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.; Vinyasa Yoga on Thursdays at 10:15 a.m.

 

Pilates-Franklin

Pilates is great for strengthening and toning, with a focus on your core “powerhouse” and increasing flexibility.  This is a mind-body class, and involves precise moves and specific breathing techniques. Pilates is offered on Thursday nights at 5:30 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. Also offered Fridays at 9:40 a.m.

 

Indoor Cycling-Franklin

Indoor Cycling is a fun, exhilarating cardio workout. Enjoy stationary cycling indoors in a fun atmosphere to lively music. Start at your own level and cycle your way to fitness.  An early morning indoor cycling class is offered at 5:30 a.m. every Thursday at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. There are a total of 15 indoor cycling classes offered weekly at the Franklin center. 

 

U-Jam® Fitness-Nolensville

U-Jam® is an athletic urban dance fitness workout that combines dance and high energy music for a workout that is bound to get your heat rate up and make you sweat! All ages can enjoy this class and have fun. Offered at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. on Tuesday mornings at 9:50 a.m. The center also offers 62 other group fitness classes weekly, including senior classes.

 

Zumba-Nolensville

Be prepared to move to a hypnotic Latin beat in Zumba, on Thursday mornings at 8:40 a.m. at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. Enjoy this muscle pumping cardio class as you lose yourself in the music and find yourself in shape. In Nolensville, seven Zumba classes are included in the weekly group fitness schedule.
