Gray Line of Tennessee Partners with Lotz House for 11th Annual “TWINKLING TENNESSEE CHRISTMAS”
Christmas driving home tour experiences mid-1800’s Victorian Christmas at Lotz House
(NASHVILLE, Tenn.)— Gray Line of Tennessee is proud to partner with the Lotz House and present the eleventh annual, “Twinkling Tennessee Christmas,” one of Nashville’s most festive holiday traditions throughout the month of December.
In addition to touring some of Nashville and Franklin’s most beautiful and exquisitely-decorated holiday home exteriors, guests will also walk through the historic Lotz House in Franklin, TN, which is decorated to depict a typical Victorian Christmas in the mid-1800’s, and drive through Franklin’s beautiful Main Street.
“The Twinkling Tennessee Christmas tour has become an exciting tradition for friends and family in the area,” said Lotz House Executive Director J.T. Thompson. “We’re looking forward to making this year even more magical for guests as they tour the Lotz House and see how a family would have decorated for the holidays in the 1860’s.” Hot apple cider and cookies will be provided at this stop.
The tour has grown in popularity each year as more groups, organizations and neighborhoods take advantage of the special event. Each tour takes approximately three hours and is in a 25-passenger mini-coach.
“This is one of our most popular tours during this time of year and is a great group activity for not only locals, but tourists and visitors who are in town for the holiday season,” said Christina Heath, sightseeing manager for Gray Line of Tennessee. “Our drivers spend countless hours curating a selection of the most beautiful homes and neighborhoods to help us provide a truly unique and festive experience for all who join us.”
Tours will run Thursdays through Sundays starting December 1 through 30 with the exception of Dec. 24 and 25. Gray Line will provide a pickup at most Nashville hotels, or guests can park at the Gray Line office across from Opryland to board the tour. Hotel guests participating in the tour should be in their hotel lobby by 5:30 p.m. for departure between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m.

The Lotz House, which has been on the National Historic Register since 1976, is located in the heart of downtown historic Franklin, Tennessee at the “epicenter” of the Battle of Franklin which was a pivotal battle in the Civil War on Nov. 30, 1864.
