Hammers & High Heels builds support for Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Williamson–Maury County held its recent fundraiser Hammers & High Heels for its Women Build program last weekend drawing about 300 people for the cause.

Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build empowers women to take the hammer and take the lead to help lower-income families in their own community build and purchase safe, affordable housing.

“I am really pleased with the turnout,” Becket Moore, executive director of Habitat for Humanity said.  “It’s fun to get together at events like this with the folks on the board, families and volunteers in one room. It’s pretty special.”

With a team of volunteers and staffers, Habitat for Humanity builds affordable homes for families who are eligible in the community.
