Health & Wellness Programs

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of ongoing health and wellness programs for adults at the Franklin Recreation Complex, located at 1120 Hillsboro Road. WCPRD is a public organization, here to benefit the community. Anyone can register for and participate in classes –no facility pass is required. Pre-registration is required for all classes (unless otherwise noted). For more information call 790-5719, ext. 10.
Aerobics
A variety of aerobics classes are offered daily July 1-31 at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road. Classes include: Step, Zumba, Pilates, Low Impact, Target Zone, Yoga and Cardio Interval. All classes open to the public. Walk-in rate is $6 per class. Indoor Cycling
Indoor cycling classes are offered daily July 1-31 at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road. Beginning cycling is offered along with extended ride classes. Cycling classes are $8 for walk-ins and the public is welcome. Discount monthly passes are also available. Water Aerobics
Water Aerobics classes are offered daily July 1-31 at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road. Class Fees: $3 for Youth/Adults and $1 for Seniors (55 and older). High Impact: Mon. – Sat., 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.; Tues. & Wed., 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.; Thurs. 5:45 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. Low Impact: Mon. – Fri., 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Annual passes and punch cards do not cover class fees. No registration required. Walk-ins welcome.
Tae Kwon Do
MPact Martial Arts
People of any age and physical condition may participate in this Martial Arts program. Instructor Eric Melton designed the class to bring the beginner into a high level of physical well being! The adult class is offered on an ongoing basis, Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. July 1-31. Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road. Yoga
You don’t have to be in great shape to do yoga! Yoga is a great form of exercise for people at all fitness levels. Each pose can be adapted and the stretching and strengthening of yoga will help in overall fitness and energy. Beginners’ yoga meets on Thursdays, July 9-August 27  from 5:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Intro to Heart Centered Yoga meets on Thursdays from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. The 8-week July-August session is $70. Please bring a yoga mat to class. You may join at any time.
