Brentwood Library hosts Harry Potter’s World exhibit

From now until Sept. 10, The Brentwood Library will host Harry Potter’s World: Renaissance Science, Magic, and Medicine, a six-banner traveling exhibition that explores the link between Harry Potter and the history of science and its roots in Renaissance magic, science, and medicine. It is located across from the reference desk in the great hall.

Developed and produced by the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, the exhibition provides a historical backdrop to the Harry Potter series and delves into topics explored by 15th– and 16th-century thinkers who played an important role in the development of Western science, including alchemy, astrology, and natural philosophy.
