Learn to ace your theatre audition in two-day class

What are the essentials to having a successful musical theatre audition? Local actress and director Julia Nolan shares them all in a two-day class for youth (ages 9-18) on August 25 and 26 at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., Franklin, TN.

This class will help students fine tune their audition skills and material whether auditioning for a school show or community production. On Sunday, there will be a mock audition and students will receive feedback to prepare them for the real thing. A photographer will be on hand taking headshots of all students (at no extra fee).

Students should bring a water bottle, lunch, snack, light jacket, sheet music or digital accompaniment of two songs, a notebook and pencil. Please wear clothes and shoes that allow easy movement.

The course is $150 per participant, and meets Saturday, August 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Register now at www.wcparksandrec.com for activity #12965.  For more information, contact director Julia Nolan at julianolansings@gmail.com.
