Rebecca Davis has had a fascination with fashion and jewelry since she was a child playing “dress-up” in her grandmother’s antique costume jewelry. As a teen she used some of her grandmother’s pieces and repurposed them into modern jewelry. She has a love of semi-precious stones and created more contemporary designs during her time college, selling it to boutiques. Her creative drive earned her a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a career as an award-winning graphic designer, but she never lost her love for fashion, antique jewelry and jewelry making. Fifteen years into her career as a print and web designer, she changed her focus and went full circle and back to her first love.

Rebecca launched her jewelry line, Mimi and Dottie, in the fall of 2008 and JONDIE, her boutique, in the spring of 2009 as a retail partner in Nashville area co-op boutiques. As her clientele base grew and word spread about her products, JONDIE and her jewelry line needed more space and moved to the current location at 407 Main Street in Historic Downtown Franklin, Tennessee – 20 minutes south of Nashville.

In January of 2012, her husband and the boutique’s namesake, Jondie Davis left his job as a sales rep for a corporation to work with Rebecca in the boutique. “Working together has been an amazing experience. We have the same goals and we both bring our own talents to strengthen our company.” Rebecca said. “I am very proud of the team we have put together at JONDIE. Our professional staff brings extensive backgrounds in fashion, retail merchandising, design, branding and wardrobe styling. We have a truly gifted team and everyone really makes JONDIE stand out as a unique shopping experience.”

Elements of Rebecca’s graphic design background can be seen throughout JONDIE, from the logo and color scheme of the store to the antique printing drawers that showcase jewelry, scarves and hats. The decor also shows her love of up-cycling – using repurposed and antique items as displays throughout the boutique. Rebecca designs all of the branded materials and website for the boutique and she loves being her own design client. “It is very rewarding to be able to utilize all of my skills to promote my business.”

JONDIE offers a fresh mix of affordable clothing and accessories. “Our boutique is bursting with the latest trends and original designs. There is something wonderful about our product lines, but our true focus is on providing the best shopping experience. It’s about exceptional service – our stylists will help you enhance your personal wardrobe. We are here for you – if you are shopping in our store or if you are shopping online we are a phone call or email away.”

JONDIE offers an in-store and online shopping experience. In the fall of 2012 JONDIE expanded with an online boutique. “We offer many great products online and many more in the store. We have exclusives online and also many things – especially some of the one-of-a-kind jewelry are only found in the store. If you have seen something in our boutique in Franklin and cannot find it on our website, you can call us and we will be happy to work with you to fulfill your order and ship it.”
