  • The Nashville Symphony’s Community Concerts series gets under way this week with performances at six local parks throughout June and early July. Featuring works by John Williams, Bernstein, Rimsky-Korsakov and more, each concert is offered free of charge. Dates, times and locations are as follows:

  • JUST ANNOUNCED: Crescendo Club, the Nashville Symphony’s young professionals organization, will host Spirits of Summer – A Curated Evening of Cocktails & Music on Friday, July 20, at Schermerhorn Symphony Center, featuring specialty crafted cocktails by local bartenders paired with live music performed by an ensemble of Nashville Symphony string musicians.   • Students from the Nashville Symphony’s Accelerando music education program will perform their annual recital at the Schermerhorn on Monday, June 11, at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets must be reserved in advance. Click here to reserve tickets and learn more.

Spirits of Summer

A Curated Evening of Cocktails & Music

6 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 (Musical program begins at 6:30 p.m.)

Enjoy specialty crafted cocktails created by bartenders from Tánsuŏ, Mockingbird, Black Rabbit and Union Common, each paired with a piece performed by a string orchestra featuring members of the Nashville Symphony.

Four craft cocktails and performance included with ticket, and all proceeds benefit the Nashville Symphony.

Hors d’oeuvres will be served. Beer and wine cash bar. Parking passes available from the Nashville Symphony for the Pinnacle Garage. Open to the public, ages 21 and older.

The Nashville Symphony has released 28 recordings on Naxos, which have received 24 GRAMMY® nominations and 13 GRAMMY® Awards, making it one of the most active recording orchestras in the country. The orchestra has also released recordings on Decca, Deutsche Grammophon and New West Records, among other labels. With more than 140 performances annually, the orchestra offers a broad range of classical, pops and jazz, and children’s concerts, while its extensive education and community engagement programs reach 60,000 children and adults each year.
