JULY SPORTS CAMPS FOR KIDS

Summer fun for ages 2-15

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department will offer a variety of summer sports camps for kids in July. Registration is now open. All camps are open to the public, and anyone may register and participate. Additional camp details and on-line registration are available at: www.wcparksandrec.com.

Basketball (July 9-13) will be offered at the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr. Camp is $65 and meets Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to noon. For boys and girls ages 7-13.

At Academy Park Gym, 120 Everbright Ave., in Franklin, TN, a basketball camp (July 16-20), and a volleyball camp (July 9-13) will be offered. Camps are $65 each and meet Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to noon. For boys and girls ages 7-13.

The Booker Basketball Academy will offer coed skills clinics at the Academy Park Gym, 120 Everbright Ave. for ages 7-10 (9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.) and ages 11-15 (11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.): July 14-Moves to the Basket; July 21-Fundamentals; July 28-Defensive Skills. Clinics are $50 each.

A tennis camp will be held at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., July 23-27. Register on-line at www.wcparksandrec.com. Camp is $65 and meets Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to noon. For boys and girls ages 7-13.

The Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood offers Quick Start Beginners tennis camps July 9-12, July 16-19 and August 6-9. Camps are for ages 5-9 and use a shorter court and smaller racquet for beginners.

The Indoor Arena at Crockett Park, 1485 Volunteer Pkwy. in Brentwood will offer: Flag Football,  July 16-20, M-F, $65, ages 7-13 yrs.; Tiny Tots Soccer (times vary; $35 ages 2-5, $45 advanced level-ages 5 & 6),  July 23-27.

In Nolensville, choose volleyball, July 16-20 (levels: ages 7-9, or ages 10-13). Camps are $65 each and meet Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to noon and will be held at Sunset Middle School. For boys and girls ages 7-13.
