MANAGED INTAKE TO BEGIN JULY 9 AT WILLIAMSON COUNTY ANIMAL CENTER

MANAGED INTAKE TO BEGIN JULY 9 AT WILLIAMSON COUNTY ANIMAL CENTER

Williamson County Animal Center will begin a managed intake program on July 9, 2018. Owner surrender of family cats and kittens by Williamson County residents will be by appointment only.

Shelter director Ondrea Johnson announced the new policy in response to overcrowding at the shelter. “Our shelter took in a record 370 cats and kittens in June,” she reported. “Due to this high volume, we need to create some space, so we are temporarily implementing a managed intake system for all voluntary surrenders of cats and kittens.”

To make an appointment to surrender a cat or kitten, contact the shelter at 615-790-5590, ext. 3400. Please bring a completed owner surrender form to your appointment. This form can be found at www.adoptwcac.org, keyword “owner surrender.”

Williamson County Animal Center is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Intake is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The shelter is located at 106 Claude Yates Dr., next to Franklin High School, and the phone number is (615) 790-5590.
