Nashville Symphony Performs Under the Stars at Three Concerts at Ascend Amphitheater This June

Pink Floyd tribute, Disney in Concert and The Who’s ‘Tommy’ with Roger Daltrey highlight orchestra’s third year at its summer home

Nashville, Tenn. (June 11, 2018) — The Nashville Symphony returns to its summer home at Ascend Amphitheater this month with three fantastic concerts under the stars: The Music of Pink Floyd & Laser Light Show on June 16, Disney in Concert on June 23 and Roger Daltrey Performs The Who’s ‘Tommy’ on June 27.

This summer’s lineup – with offerings for music lovers of all ages – is the Symphony’s most exciting yet and will showcase the versatility of Music City’s GRAMMY®-winning orchestra.

Affordable lawn seats are available for all three performances, and a limited number of reserved seats remain for each concert. See below for ticketing information.

The Music of Pink Floyd and Laser Light Show

8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018

Conductor Brent Havens, vocalist Randy Jackson and a full rock band join the orchestra to pay tribute to one of rock music’s most influential bands. The two-hour-plus spectacle will begin with a performance of Pink Floyd’s seminal album Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety, followed by hits from the rest of the band’s extensive catalog, all accompanied by a spectacular display of strobe lights and lasers. Disney in Concert: Magical Music from the Movies

7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018

Joined by four Broadway-caliber vocalists, the Symphony will showcase music from some of the biggest Disney films of all time, while movie clips play in larger-than-life LED video above the stage. Sing along to favorites from The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Frozen, Mary Poppins, Pirates of the Caribbean and many more. Learn more here.

Roger Daltrey Performs The Who’s ‘Tommy’

8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018

In what promises to be one of the biggest music events of the summer, rock icon Roger Daltrey and members of The Who’s touring band join the Nashville Symphony to perform the greatest rock opera of all time from start to finish. A truly unforgettable story of a “deaf, dumb and blind” boy, Tommy boasts some of The Who’s biggest hits, and this performance with full orchestra will add a whole new dimension to the experience.
