The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of health and wellness programs for adults at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. For information about activities at the Longview Recreation Center, call (615)302-0971, ext. 10 or view the Spring Hill monthly newsletter at www.wcparksandrec.com. No membership is required. The Longview Recreation Center is a public facility, here to benefit the community. Anyone, including out-of-county residents, can register for and participate in classes and events held at Longview, even if you don’t have a facility pass!

ONGOING GROUP FITNESS
A variety of group fitness classes are offered daily at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. Classes include Target Zone, Zumba, Nuclear Fusion, Yoga, Pilates, Boot Camp, Fit Camp, Hip Hop and Spinerval. All aerobic classes are open to the public with a walk-in rate of $6 per class. Indoor cycling classes are also offered daily. Beginning and intermediate cycling classes are available. Cycling classes are open to the public with a walk-in rate of $8 per class. NEW INDOOR POOL HOURS
The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department announces new pool hours for the indoor pool at the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Drive. The new hours are: Monday-Friday, 5 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturdays, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sundays, 1-6 p.m. For more information about the indoor pool at Longview, please visit www.wcparksandrec.com.

ONGOING AQUACIZE
Aquacize classes are offered daily (except Sunday), in the spacious indoor pool at the Longview Recreation Center. Aquacize is easy on the joints and helps tone muscles faster, increases flexibility and improves circulation and cardio fitness. The high impact class is for individuals who want a more aggressive workout.  Low impact classes provide a great workout at a lower intensity.  Aquacize is open to adults ages 16+ and no swimming skill is required.  Class fees are: Adults, 8 visits for $24, walk-ins are $3 per person, per class. New class fees for Seniors (55 and older) are 8 visits for $16 and walk-ins are $2 per senior, per class. New fees go into effect January 1. No registration required. HIP HOP
A new Hip Hop class has been added to the group fitness schedule. This is an aerobics-style class centered on learning hip hop dance moves to upbeat modern music. Various skill levels will be offered in each class, and ages 13 to adults are encouraged to participate. This class is perfect for beginner to advanced dancers! The new class will meet on Tuesdays, from 10:50-11:50 a.m. Hip Hop also meets on Saturdays from 12-12:55 p.m. No registration required. The walk-in fee is $6.
