New Moms

For the perfect cure for new moms looking for variety in their fitness regimen, Stroller Strides of Franklin is proud to offer A Zumba and Stroller Strides Class with Special Guest Rebecca Hinton, which will be held on Friday, January 30th at A Game Sportsplex (215 Gothic Ct. in Franklin) at 9:30 am.

Unique to Stroller Strides of Franklin, the Zumba and Stroller Strides Class with Special Guest Rebecca Hinton offers new moms an introduction to Zumba, which fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness class. This will be a unique pairing of two great fitness programs and both Rebecca Hinton of Zumba and Deena Prichard of Stroller Strides who are proud and excited to bring the two great classes together for this one time event. Moms new to the Stroller Strides program (and their babies!) are invited to attend, as well as those already enrolled in ongoing classes.

“Any fitness program can benefit from a little variety!” said Deena Prichard, franchisee of Stroller Strides Franklin. “This is a fun way to introduce that variety without compromising Stroller Strides’ overall goal of offering a great way to get fit while enjoying the support of other parents experiencing the newness, joys and challenges of having a baby.”

Stroller Strides is a unique fitness program for new moms incorporating both the baby and a stroller.  In 60 minutes, participants will get a total body workout, improving cardiovascular endurance, strength and flexibility. Along with walking, Stroller Strides uses the environment as a gym by doing intervals of body toning using exercise tubing and the stroller.
In addition to offering fitness classes, Stroller Strides of Franklin also offers specialty classes like the special Zumba class, as well as playgroups and Mom’s Nights Out.

Beginning January 26th, Stroller Strides Members and Non-Members can even participate in a Healthy Momma Challenge where Mind, Body, and Spirit are all combined to focus on total health.

“Having a group of parents who are going through the same amazing and exhausting experience of living with a baby is so important,” said Prichard.  “If you have a great support system, everything else, including fitness, is so much easier.”
