- Important Building Entry Update: Effective immediately, all tickets for performances at Schermerhorn Symphony Center will be scanned at the main entrance doors, and all patrons must present their tickets before entering the building. Building doors will open 90 minutes prior to show time, and anyone without a ticket should proceed to the Schermerhorn Box Office upon arrival. For questions, please email the box office or call 615.687.6400.
- The Nashville Symphony recently announced that four local students have been selected for the second class of its Accelerando music education initiative. A press release and photos are available online.
- Following Mayor Megan Barry’s declaration of September 15 as Classical Music Day in Nashville, Schermerhorn Symphony Center will play host to a proclamation ceremony that afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. and members of the media are encouraged to attend. The ceremony will include representatives from Nashville’s various classical music ensembles and remarks by Nashville resident and classical composer Kip Winger.
