On Saturday, March 20th 2010 at 2:00 p.m. area high school students who are members of the Youth Advisory Councils at Williamson County Schools will take the stage to model spring and prom fashions at Belk CoolSprings Galleria. The cost of tickets is $10 and all proceeds support the programs and agencies supported by United Way of Williamson County. If you would like to purchase tickets or would like additional information please call the United Way office at 615-771-2312.

This is the 2nd annual fashion show that has been held at Belk. Greg Smith, Belk Store Manager CoolSprings Galleria, supports the promotion of youth leadership within Williamson County. “To see these young people who are already giving back to their community at an early age while being leaders at their respective schools speaks volumes about this program”, Smith said. Belk CoolSprings Galleria offers a large juniors selection and the latest in Prom Fashions. Guests may also register to win a MAC Prom Makeover and other great door prizes.

YAC (Youth Advisory Council) is a youth leadership program through the United Way of Williamson County. YAC empowers youth to make their own decisions, help improve their community and take an active role in their own lives. YAC is open to any Williamson County high school or middle school student that’s interested in community service and enhancing their leadership abilities.

If you know of a student who would like to join with others in this leadership program, please contact Carla Arnette at the Williamson County United Way, 615.771.2312.
