SENIOR SPORTS AT ACADEMY PARK GYM

Enjoy daytime gym activities, Pickleball and walking clubs

 

Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce October senior sports activities at the Academy Park Gym, 120 Everbright Ave. The gym now offers free walking clubs for seniors (55+), Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Tuesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Inside the gym, enjoy games like shuffle board, basketball, ladder golf and more. Play badminton on Tuesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. On Thursdays, seniors can practice for their upcoming Tennessee Senior Olympic competitions from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Through the month of October, the outdoor pickleball courts are reserved for seniors every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Beginners are welcome.

The outdoor bocce ball courts are also open, and equipment can be borrowed from the desk in the Williamson County Enrichment Center. All activities are open to the public.
