Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Meet seven burly lumberjacks-Adam, Benjamin, Caleb, Daniel, Ephraim, Frankincense and Gideon-as they dance their way to wedded bliss December 3, 4, 5 and 6 for four performances of the classic stage musical “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.” Presented by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s award-winning Star Bright Players children’s theatre group, this all-youth production features over 40 talented local actors, singers and dancers ranging in age from 8 to 15.
“Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” is a rousing family musical comedy, featuring electrifying dance numbers and plenty of action from the rough and tumble Pontipee brothers and their rivals. The 1954 MGM film version was nominated for Best Picture and is ranked 21st on the American Film Institute’s list of best musicals.
The Star Bright production features Steven Fiske as Adam, the oldest brother, and Abby Newman as Milly, his bride. Performances of “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” are scheduled for Thursday, December 3 at 7 p.m., Friday, December 4 at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 5 at 7 p.m., and a matinee on Sunday, December 6 at 3 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show time.
