All invited to participate in “On the Table” events October 30-November 1

Franklin, TN – If you live, work, or worship in Franklin, you are invited to participate in Franklin Tomorrow’s new community initiative, On the TableOn the Table events will take place around the city from Tuesday, October 30 through Thursday, November 1, beginning with Breakfast with the Mayors at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, at Rolling Hills Community Church, and concluding with two lunch events on November 1. On the Table is an opportunity for the people of Franklin to gather in small groups around a table with friends, neighbors, colleagues and maybe even a few people meeting for the first time, to share a meal and have a real conversation about what’s important.

“If you can’t join us Tuesday morning on October 30, then we invite you to attend one of the other On the Table gatherings being hosted around Franklin through November 1, said Mindy Tate, executive director of Franklin Tomorrow. “Everyone is invited to be part of the discussion. For the full list of open community tables, visit Franklin Tomorrow’s website www.franklintomorrow.org/onthetable. Simply click the ‘Join the Conversation’ tab to sign up to join a table on the day and time most convenient for you.

On the Table conversations are intended to inspire people to take action and seize opportunities in the community. Adding a diversity of voices provides unique discussions around varying issues that matter to the community.  After conversations happen, participants will be asked to share their outcomes and provide feedback around topics discussed.  Franklin Tomorrow will continue to share and discuss the findings to explore ways in which Franklin can work together to create the most engaged, generous and welcoming community for all.

Franklin Tomorrow is an independent, community-visioning nonprofit which celebrated the 15th anniversary of its founding in 2016. Its mission is to engage the community, foster collaboration, and advocate for a shared vision for the future of Franklin.

Through research, programs and engagement with citizens, that shared vision is for Franklin to be a city with vibrant neighborhoods, a robust economy, distinct character and great people. As an organization, Franklin Tomorrow develops and presents programs such as the quarterly Breakfast with the Mayors and monthly FrankTalks lecture series which educate and illuminate issues facing the community as a whole.
