“STARS ON STAGE” AUDITIONS FOR ASPIRING PERFORMERS AGES 5-17

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) will hold auditions for “Stars on Stage” (formerly Rising Stars) on Sunday, December 9, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., Franklin.  “Stars on Stage” is an audition-based exhibition show choir that stems from the WCPR Arts Education and Outreach programs. The vibrant ensemble will consist of 15-25 singer/dancers between the ages of 9-17.  A “Little Stars” ensemble (ages 5-8) will also have a chance to shine at local performances.

Those auditioning should prepare a well-known pop or musical theatre song to sing acapella. Youth selected to be a part of this talented group will have the opportunity to fine tune their craft with intensive instruction and numerous public performance opportunities such as festivals, fairs, parades, nursing homes, and other events throughout the community and beyond.
