Logan went on to mention how Studio Tenn’s Frankenstein will differ from any version audiences have seen in the past.
“We are incorporating many elements of today’s popular Netflix series’, which brings the mystery of danger and the hopeful aspects of human nature to the forefront” said Logan. “Themes reflecting that of Staircase, The Fall or Happy Valley creates a curiosity in audiences that branches far outside the norm.”
No stranger to Studio Tenn, A.S. Peterson returns after having written Studio Tenn’s first original script for The Battle of Franklin in the 2016-2017 season to critical acclaim.
A seasoned writer of multiple books such as “The Fiddler’s Gun” and “The Molehill”, Peterson’s script immerses audiences in a world that questions the reality of “who is the true monster” and challenges viewers to see the story with new perspective.
“Even after 200 years, the story of Dr. Frankenstein and his exploration of taboos and immortality is still quite relevant for a modern audience,” said Peterson. “I wanted this version to portray the relationship between Frankenstein and the Monster in a new light that will leave audiences with a different perspective on the tale they’ve always known.”
