Spirit Horse Day Camp offers lots of fun horse filled activities for our summer campers!
Children are assigned their own horse for the week, learning basic horse care and riding skills in order to build rapport and bond with their horse.
Activities: Camp kids get to ride in arena lessons as well as trail rides, give their horse a bath, play mounted horseback games, take a swim when it gets too hot, and more!
We strive to provide the most summer fun along with lifelong lessons in confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and doing ones personal best. Small groups insure your child gets lots of personal attention. Ages 6 and up.

Battle Ground Academy Summer Camps, for ages 5 years through 12th grade

Each summer the BGA campus is filled with children and youth attending various summer camps. With the wide variety of possibilities, there is something for almost everyone.

Camp Carnton, for boys and girls ages 8 to 12
Dates: June 8-12th from 9am to 3pm
Enlist! We are looking for boys and girls, soldiers, history lovers, or those who are just searching for a fun alternative to the run-of–the mill summer camps!
We will have hands-on fun experiencing what life was like during the Civil War for soldiers, slaves, and everyday people. Reenactors will demonstrate weaponry, crafts, and clothing. The highlight of the week includes Trolley Day where we will travel to several local Civil War sites making the past come alive!
Cost: All materials are included in the camp cost. Payment is due at time of registration. (Member prices are for FAMILY MEMBERSHIPS and higher.)

Camp Idyllwild, for boys and girls ages 5 to 11
Dates: Weekly sessions beginning June 1 though July 31
Camp Idyllwild is a unique summer day camp to inspire children with a love for nature. Camp takes place on 30 beautiful private acres of woods, hills and meadow surrounded by the pristine Blue Buck Creek.
Activities include tree climbing, creek exploration, hiking, arts & crafts, organic gardening, pottery, archery, wood working, field games, and nature study, and are planned and conducted in a way that is safe for both children and the environment.
We offer air-conditioned bus transportation to and from locations in Nashville and Franklin, wholesome and organic snacks and two Friday overnight camp-outs during nine 1-week summertime sessions between June and July. Come play outside with us this summer! Click Here.

Cheekwood Summer Art Camps,
for ages 2 to 15
Dates: weekly sessions June 1 – Aug. 7
With classes focusing on everything from painting and clay to photography and mixed media, campers will enjoy fun art and outdoor adventures at Cheekwood.
Cheekwood offers 10 one-week half-day art camps. Morning sessions last from 9:00am – 12:00pm and afternoon sessions from 1:00pm to 4:00pm each week. Sign up for morning and afternoon sessions to create an all-day experience for your child. Extended and lunch care covering the hours of 8:00am-9:00am, 12:00pm -1:00pm, and 4:00pm-5:00pm is available for an additional fee.

Cost: Fees start at $130 for each one-week half-day camp session. Cheekwood members receive a 25% discount on all summer camps.
Cheekwood is proud to offer a limited number of summer camp scholarships. Scholarship applications may be downloaded from the summer camp page of Cheekwood’s website, http://www.cheekwood.org/Education/Summer_Camps. All applications must be received by April 17th, 2009 in order to be considered.
