The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce a summer wedding dance workshop at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill. In the Summer Weddings Workshop, participants will experience the basics in foxtrot, swing, and waltz (the most common wedding dances), plus take time for special requests. You’ll learn how to twirl, dip, and move in sync with your partner, whether you’re the bride, in the wedding party, or attending as a guest. This class is geared toward beginners with little or no experience, but the experienced dancer is always welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes that move with you and shoes comparable to what you’ll be dancing in. No sneakers please. The summer wedding class will take place Saturday, May 16th from 1-3 p.m. OR Friday, May 22nd from 6–8 p.m. This one day workshop is for teens and adults. The cost is $30 per person or $45 per couple. The instructor is Annie Stokes. For more information visit www.wcparksandrec.com or to register call (615)302-0971, ext. 10.
