The Junior League of Nashville has set the date for ‘Tis the Season  Holiday Marketplace, its annual shopping extravaganza. The event will run Thursday, Nov. 20, – Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Factory at Franklin (230 Franklin Rd.). 

‘Tis the Season offers the best in holiday shopping while raising funds to support the Junior League’s mission of enriching the lives of women, children and families in Middle Tennessee. 

“The Junior League of Nashville has a longstanding history of highly successful community events dating back to 1922, and ‘Tis the Season Holiday Marketplace continues this tradition. The inaugural event in November 2007 raised more than $152,000,” says President of the Junior League of Nashville Dara Dickson.


The ‘Tis the Season attendees will have the opportunity to shop from over 75 unique merchants from Nashville and across the United States. The merchants will offer an array of unique holiday and home décor, food, clothing, toys, jewelry and much more. Co-chaired by Ruth Ann Cox and Courtney Hood, this stress-free, all exclusive shopping experience will include 26,000 square feet of shopping space.

Many special events also will be included in ‘Tis the Season, which will kick off with a preferred shopping experience, Candy Cane Cocktails. Details on the events are:

   

Candy Cane Cocktails:
Wednesday November 19
Time: 6-9 p.m.
Information: Kick off ‘Tis the Season 2008 and be the first to shop. Silent Auction, Heavy Hors D’oeuvres and Specialty Cocktails included.
Price: $50 per person in advance.  $60 at the door.

Breakfast with Santa: Saturday, November 22
Time: 8-10:30 a.m.
Information: Bring the family and enjoy a light breakfast and pictures with Santa.
Price: $25 per family (includes breakfast and one picture.) Limited tickets available.  Advance reservations required.

Santa Snaps Event: Saturday, November 22
Time: 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Information: Visit with Santa in a winter wonderland lined with lollypops, gumball, candy  canes and other delights!  Enjoy balloon artists and craft stations while waiting to see Santa.
Price: $15 per photograph   Visits with Santa are complimentary.

Tis the Season general admission is $8 per person, which includes parking and one-day shopping pass. General admission show hours are Thursday, November 20, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday, November  21, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Saturday, November 22, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
General admission tickets purchased online at www.TisTheSeasonShopping.com are $7 until Nov. 16 at midnight. Parking with shuttle service to The Factory at Franklin is available at First Presbyterian Church at 101 Legends Club Lane. No strollers please.
