Williamson County Fair

Williamson County Fair

In the beginning, a small group of individuals met to discuss the agri-tourism trend sweeping the country and how the Williamson County Ag Expo park and the UT Extension Service could partner to capture that enthusiasm in our county.  Thus the idea to bring back a traditional county fair was born and we held the new Williamson County Fair in 2005.

With an opening year theme of “Celebrate!”, the fair continued to grow and celebrate with successor themes, such as:

  • 2006 – A Family Reunion – Come Join Our Family
  • 2007 – Find the Fun At The Fair
  • 2008 – Red, White & Blue Ribbon Fair
  • 2009 – We’ve Got A Good Thing Growing
  • 2010 – Come Be A Kid Again
  • 2011 – County Fair With A Western Flair
  • 2012 – Life On The Farm
  • 2013 – Rock Around The Fair, and
  • 2014 – Constructing Good Times – 10 Years Of Fun!

As you can imagine, each year the Williamson County Fair has grown, and has captured the attention of state and national associations.  The Tennessee Association of Fairs (TAF) and the International Association of Fairs & Expos (IAFE) has honored our fair with various awards and recognitions through the years.  Our most exciting accomplishment was received in January, 2014 at the annual TAF Convention where we were awarded the AAA Division State Champion Fair for our 2013 fair.

The Fair Board has partnered with numerous volunteers, community organizations, businesses and sponsors to ensure each year built upon the success of the prior year.  These partnerships have resulted in us being able to continue to provide a safe, educational and fun community event for our visitors of all ages to enjoy!

As we celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary, we continue to celebrate our county’s agricultural heritage, our community, and the memories of the families who have joined us as they began generational traditions of their own.

The Williamson County Fair Board is thankful for our sponsors and the community who has supported the dedicated efforts of our volunteers who donate their time and energy to provide education and entertainment……just to see you smile…..that’s our reward!!!
