New Pre-K Science Clubs join March schedule

 

The Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd., has fun classes for kids and adults. In March try the new Pre-K Science Clubs with Mr. Bond’s Science Guys, art classes for ages 3-14, or voice lessons.   All classes are open to the public, and registration is available at www.wcparksandrec.com.

 

Pre-K Science Club-Mr. Bond’s Science Guys

Weird and wacky science experiments for kids ages 4 and 5! Each week includes a variety of hands-on experiments to get preschoolers excited about science. Each session is new and different. Class size is limited to 15, and meets Thursdays, March 1-22 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Register at www.wcparksandrec.com, activity #11002, $40 for 4-week session (repeats monthly) at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd.).

 

Sticky Fingers Preschool Art Club

Enhance and celebrate you preschooler’s creativity by enrolling them in the Sticky Fingers Preschool Art Club at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. Ms. Emily offers educational art experiences geared to young children (ages 3 to 6, potty-trained), with 2 to 3 works of art completed in each class. Offered on Fridays, March 2-23 ($48,  #11226). Class meets from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Register on line at www.wcparksandrec.com.

 

Wiggles & Giggles

Drop your child off in the gym on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. for our free Wiggles and Giggles supervised play time (ages 3-6 years). Parent must stay in the rec center and use the facility. Wiggles & a Giggles is free with a family pass or general admission. The Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolesnville Rd.

 

Guitar Lessons

Learn to play the guitar in 30-minute private lessons on Thursdays at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville. Instructor Phil Mikel will tailor the lessons to the student’s skill levels and interests. For ages 7 through adults. $30 per lesson.  To register, contact Phil Mikel at 615-649-1898.

 

Barre

Barre combines ballet, Pilates and yoga to develop beautifully sculpted lean muscles. Barre uses intense isometric training with low-impact moves that focus on balance, lengthening and strengthening. No dance experience is required.  This 60-minute class is offered at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd., on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 a.m. and Saturdays at 8:05 a.m.  Please register in advance at www.wcparksandrec.com.

 

Art with Kreative Kat

Kids, ages 8 to 14, come join the fun creating beautiful art in this ongoing class! Everyone can be an artist in this class, as the instructor ‘Kat’ helps students realize their potential.  Kat teaches mainly drawing, watercolor, and acrylics. Piano/Voice Lessons

Weekly, private voice and piano lessons are available on Tuesdays in from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. Lessons are offered in 30-minute time frames. Learn note reading skills, music theory and artistic technique using a variety of styles and learning how to sing with correct technique while expanding your range! Ages 7 through adults. Safe Kids 101-Spring Break Class

Kids think they are ready to stay home alone and parents wonder if it’s okay to let them. This home alone class will her your 9-13 year old take the next step in independence while giving you peace of mind. Topics include: responsibilities when staying home alone, simple first aid and abdominal thrusts for choking victims, how to navigate the online world, fire safety and what to do around an aggressive dog. Also, the truth behind abuse, abduction and stranger danger. Meets Monday, March 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bring a sack lunch. Register on-line at www.wcparksandrec.com, #11232, $35.
