Located on its Glen Echo campus off of Mack Hatcher Parkway, the Mary Campbell Visual Arts Center is a 12,000-square-foot, two-story building, consisting of classroom space, studios and faculty offices. The building is named for the late wife of Stewart “Brother” Campbell, who graduated from BGA in 1968. Located next to Armistead Hall on the front of the campus, this facility will provide dedicated space for photography, ceramics, drawing, painting and sculpting for Middle and Upper School students. All of the space is specially designed to accommodate artistic needs and will feature display space to showcase student art.

“Thanks to the support of Brother Campbell and countless other supporters, BGA now has one of the most advanced visual arts facilities in the region. With its location on the front of our campus, it is an unmistakable testament to our commitment to providing the best possible atmosphere for learning,” said John Griffith, BGA head of school. “We also envision the Mary Campbell Visual Arts Center becoming a focal point for the local arts community with art shows, speakers and other activities.”
