Bling and Bowties

April 25, 2013-Carnton Plantation, Franklin, TN

Bling and Bowties: An Evening with the Arts is a fundraiser for the REALTOR® Good Works Foundation. (The REALTOR® GWF is the non-profit foundation of the Williamson County Association of Realtors®.)  Each of the nine public high schools in Williamson County is asked to participate by having their art students submit work for consideration in a student art competition.  Those chosen by a panel of judges will have their art displayed the evening of the event. Prizes are awarded to the winning entries and a comparable gift is awarded to the student’s high school art department.

This year we are also pleased to announce that those students chosen as the winning entries into the competition will be featured in the 2013 Williamson Medical Center Academic Calendar and pieces of art will be on display for 12 months at the Williamson Medical Center Campus.

In addition to the student competition, local artists also donate artwork for the silent and live auction.  Through this generosity of local artists, participating sponsors and attendees this very special evening is quickly becoming the largest fundraiser for the REALTOR® Good Work Foundation.   Since 2007, over $90,000 has been distributed back into the community of Williamson County, Tennessee. Volunteers with the Foundation have also given back to the community through work with Samaritans Purse to rebuild the community after the 2010 floods. The Foundation is always looking for new opportunities to give back and support the community in which Realtors® live and work.
