PROFESSOR FIXIT REMODELING AND HOME REPAIR WORKSHOPS
Learn to “do it yourself” in the Longview Recreation Center’s latest, professionally taught workshops. Mark McKenzie, a.k.a. “Professor Fixit” is a state licensed home improvement contractor with over 25 years of home repair experience. Learn the skills you need to fix your home and save money. January’s workshops include Toilet Repair 201 and Floor and Wall Tile 201.

Toilet Repair 201
A leaky toilet can double your water bill, and a plumber visit can cost up to $125. This workshop will cover how a toilet works; simple diagnosis procedures; hands-on parts identification; common repair practices; tricks of the trade; a complete rebuild done in class and a question and answer session. Toilet Repair 201 will meet Thursday, January 7 from 5:45-8 p.m., and the class fee is $35.

Floor and Wall Tile 201
Tile work will add to your home’s value and adds distinction to your décor.
This workshop will cover the pros and cons of tile; design and layout procedures; discussion of tools and materials; a class practical—preparation, floor and wall tile, grouting plus a question and answer session. Floor and Wall Tile 201 will meet Thursday, January 14 from 5:45-8 p.m., and the class fee is $35.
