ARTIST RECEPTION FOR MARLA FAITH AT THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY ENRICHMENT CENTER

Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) invites the public to attend an Artist Reception for Marla Faith on Saturday, March 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave, in Franklin, TN.

Described as a narrative colorist, Ms. Faith earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an MS in Museum Leadership from Bank Street College in New York City. As a teacher of art and a working artist living in Nashville, her work has been exhibited nationally. The Abundance Series, which will be displayed at the Enrichment Center, represents a variety of ethnicities living in Nashville. Each portrait of women in the series portrays them surrounded by oversized fruits or vegetables of the season, symbolizing the abundance of Mother Earth. These large oil paintings will be on display in Franklin through late May.

For more information visit the “Community Events” page at  www.wcparksandrec.com.  If you are an artist interested in exhibiting your work at a WCPR facility, please contact Shelley Egly at 615-790-5719 ext. 2020 or Shelley.Egly@williamsoncounty-tn.gov.
