Golfers and Support Partners Tee Up for BrightStone’s 16th Annual Golf Benefit

Jim Hinton Memorial Golf Benefit – Tuesday, October 3, 2017 – 8:00am-3:00pm

Franklin, TN – BrightStone’s “18 Holes for Special Souls” Jim Hinton Memorial Golf Benefit is truly one of a kind. While most events invite golfers on the green for a pay-to-play fee, our golfers commit to individually fundraise for the event! Golfers make a personal commitment to raise $3,000 or more. It’s not an obligation but a personal goal that many reach and exceed. Reaching that goal as a team of four allows a student to attend BrightStone for a year!

BrightStone’s annual Golf Benefit raised over $150,000 last year through this unique fundraising model. This key event funds core programs and vital services for adults with special needs in our community. Over 40 golfers came together to meet this goal. This year we aim to pass $175,000 in funds raised.

The key to meeting that goal is found in our Support Partners. Support Partners don’t play golf but instead, help a golfer reach their $3,000 goal by reaching out to their own personal network of friends to invite support. All golfers and support partners get their very own fundraising page making it easy to accept online donations. And just as important, their circle of family and friends get an opportunity to learn about the mission of BrightStone.

“Becoming a Support Partner is a wonderful way to get involved with BrightStone’s golf event,” explained Randy Elliott, Director of Development for BrightStone. “We set up each fundraising webpage and in just two clicks, our support partners can invite friends and family to learn about BrightStone and consider making a gift to help adults with special needs. Support Partners have a profound impact on what we can do for our students. Any individual, student or business owner anywhere in the country can request to be one of our Support Partners.”
