GREEN FLEET BICYCLE SHOP LAUNCHES BEER + PIE OFFERINGS WITH PI(E) DAY AT THE BIKE SHOP

Bike shop serves as community hangout with new addition of local brews and sweet treats

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Green Fleet Bicycle Shop is now offering the trifecta for a good time: bikes, brews and pies. The addition of local beers, cold brew coffee and sweet treats to the bike shop’s Historic Jefferson Street location will be kicked off with a Pi(e) Day at the Bike Shop on Thursday, March 14 from 3:14 – 7 p.m.

“We’ve been part of the Historic Jefferson Street community since 2015. We love having our neighbors pop in the shop for their bike needs, a tour with their out-of-town visitors or just to say hey to our shop dog Jean,” said Austin Bauman, owner of Green Fleet Bicycle Shop. “We are so proud to be a gathering place for the community, and now that we are offering beer, we envision becoming even more of a neighborhood hangout even when folks aren’t in the market for a bike or related gear.”

Beer offerings will include rotating canned and bottled local and domestic beers, such as Tennessee Brew Works, East Nashville Beer Works and Black Abbey, priced between $3-4. Cold brew coffee from Osa Coffee Roasters (which occupies Green Fleet’s original Edgehill Village location) will also be available. As another nod to the neighborhood feel of the bike shop, a rotating variety of mini 3-inch pies will be available daily for $2.50, sourced from Green Fleet’s next-door neighbor Sweet Creations Bakery.

At the kickoff Pi(e) Day at The Bike Shop, guests will be treated to 2-for-1 beers from 3:14- 7 p.m. and pies from Sweet Creations pie cart, as well as an opportunity to test ride a bike around the neighborhood. Kids who bring their math homework get free pie. For those who can’t make it to the March 14 celebration, the 2-for-1 happy hour pricing will be offered all day every Tuesday and Wednesday during March and April. Additionally, every Thursday, $1 of every beer purchase will support a local charity, beginning on March 21 to help fundraising for one of Martha O’Bryan Center’s Tenn Speed bike teams.

About Green Fleet Bicycle Shop

Green Fleet’s mission is to help more people explore Nashville by bike. Starting in 2009 as a downtown based bicycle delivery service, Green Fleet Bike Tours were added in 2011 to offer guided bicycle tours of downtown. When neighbors began asking the shop owner to repair bikes, the business evolved into a full- service bicycle shop, offering bike services, rentals, sales, special events and guided tours. Green Fleet Bicycle Shop now has two locations in Nashville, offering a full-service bike shop experience to both Historic Jefferson Street just west of Germantown as well as East Nashville through its Shelby Avenue Bicycle Co. location.
