Heritage Ball 2018 Recap

As the Franklin community arrived at Eastern Flank Battlefield Park on Saturday, Sept. 15 for the 45th annual Heritage Ball, guests were instantly transported to an elegant evening of food, drink, dancing and fundraising for the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, TN. Upon arrival, ladies and gentlemen were welcomed by Ball Chair and Presenting Sponsor Emily Magid and invited to order a drink at the bar featuring Gray’s on Main signature cocktails, The Caterpillar and Drink Me. In addition to cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres, auction items were displayed throughout the event and available for bid. This year’s auction featured one-of-a-kind trips, concert tickets, jewelry, art and experiences. At 7:30 p.m., hosts and hostesses rang the dinner bell and invited more than 750 attendees to take their seats in the main ballroom. The décor was inspired by Emily Magid’s love for tie-dye with tents draped in deep blues and divine greenery with florals designed by Steve McLellan. The dinner menu by Sargent’s Fine Catering included a refreshing salad topped with cucumber and watermelon, a main course of filet mignon and chocolate raspberry mousse for dessert.

Following recognition of the event sponsors by CEO of the Heritage Foundation, Bari Beasley and President of the Heritage Foundation Board, David Garrett, guests were invited to join the dance floor for dancing and live music by The Atlanta Allstars. The 45th annual Heritage Ball raised more than $230,000, the most ever raised from the event, for future preservation efforts throughout Williamson County.
