June Programs at Timberland Park

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is proud to host ongoing nature programs and events at Timberland Park.

June 10-14:

Timberland Park Day Camp – 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Do you want to form a closer connection with the natural world and also learn about the area you live in? If so, this will be the perfect camp for you. You will learn how to observe things in nature, play games, learn about the history of the area, wander through our dry creeks, and much more! This is a fantastic way to gain confidence while outdoors. Participants will spend most of their time outdoors.  Be sure to bring plenty of water and dress appropriately for the warm weather. Wearing closed-toe shoes, bug spray and sunscreen are strongly recommended.  A small snack will be provided, but if more food is required, please send along extra food with your child.  For ages 7-12. Cost is $45. Register for activity #14169 at www.wcparksandrec.com.

June 21:
Summer Solstice Hike – 9:00 a.m. Join park staff for a morning hike. We will be welcoming the Summer Solstice by hiking around 1 mile in beautiful Timberland Park. Register for activity #14894 at www.wcparksandrec.com.

Pinching Pennies: A Water Safety Program – 4:15 p.m. Beat the heat of the first day of summer by participating in our water safety program. No bathing suit is required for this hypothermia-related program. Join us! Register for activity #14895 at www.wcparksandrec.com.

Timberland Park is located at mile marker 437.2 on the historic Natchez Trace Parkway, just south of the Highway 96 entrance and iconic bridge. For questions or additional information, call (615) 232-4154.
