Downtown Restaurant Invites the Community to Test Knowledge on Sitcoms, Movies and More

FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Puckett’s Boat House in downtown Franklin has begun hosting a weekly trivia night in partnership with Brain Blast Entertainment every Wednesday from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Each week will alter between themed trivia and general trivia, so event goers can expect to be quizzed on topics ranging from arts and sciences to comic heroes, to the wizarding world of Harry Potter and more.

The restaurant held its first trivia event in December, taking on the theme of 90s television sitcom “Friends” with an impressive turnout. Jami Blainey, General Manager at Puckett’s Boat House, said the response was so positive, it was an easy decision to make trivia a weekly occurrence.

“When it comes to trivia in Downtown Franklin, there are just not that many options for the community to choose from,” Blainey said. “We hope the Boat House will become a regular spot for folks to gather every week and try their hands at trivia on a variety of popular topics.”

In February, Puckett’s Boat House will give trivia attendees the opportunity to put their superhero and supervillain knowledge to the test with a Marvel-themed trivia night on the 13th. True Disney lovers will triumph at the next themed trivia night on February 20, which will tackle everything from old classics like Cinderella to recent favorites like Frozen and Moana.

The magic will continue into March, as guests will face questions around Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on March 6, with general trivia scheduled for March 13 and 27.

A $10 food and beverage minimum is required per participant, and trivia night attendees are encouraged to make reservations each week by calling the restaurant at (615) 790-2309. For more information on the weekly event, please go to www.facebook.com/puckettsboathouse.
