SENIOR DAY TRIP ON THE BLUE HERON CRUISE

SENIOR DAY TRIP ON THE BLUE HERON CRUISE

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) invites area seniors (55+) to participate in an upcoming day trip to visit area attractions. This activity is open to the public.

A trip is planned for Thursday, June 27 on the Blue Heron Cruise. The nature cruise pioneer of Middle Tennessee, Captain Jim has been offering boat rides on the Cumberland since 2001. In 2018, he moved his location to the Percy Priest Lake. The new scenery is beautiful and wildlife plentiful. Lunch (dutch treat) will be at the Fate Sanders Marina restaurant. The cost of the outing is $25.

Transportation is available from two WCPR locations: the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr., Spring Hill (departing at 8:15 a.m., returning at 3:00 p.m.) and the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave., Franklin (departing at 8:45 a.m., returning at 2:30 p.m.) Registration begins May 20 at www.wcparksandrec.com. Registration code #14648.
